Beef Stroganoff (slow cooker)


Ingredients:

  • 500g beef, cubed or sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 400g mushrooms, bulky sliced
  • 1 tbsp crushed garlic
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 tbsp paprika 
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch 
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 tub sour cream
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Parsley to garnish. 

Putting it all together:

Sauté onions until brown. Transfer to slow cooker.

Brown the beef and transfer to slow cooker.

Sauté mushrooms in beef juices and garlic. Transfer to slow cooker.

Add stock, Worcestershire sauce, and spices to slow cooker and mix thoroughly.

Cook on low for 8 hours.

5 minutes before serving, stir in sour cream.

Serve on a bed of mashed potatoes.
