Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (ordinary all-purpose or light soy sauce. Not dark soy sauce)
- 2 tbsp Brandy
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- Dash of white pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch / cornflour
- 120 ml water
Method
- Prepare the sauce:
- Combine all the ingredients in a lidded jar and shake vigorously until well mixed.
- Add to stir fry:
- Once your stir fry ingredients are cooked, pour the sauce over the top.
- Continue cooking until the meat is done and the sauce has thickened.
Chef’s Tips:
- Customise the sauce: Feel free to add ginger, garlic, or chilli to enhance the flavour depending on your stir fry’s ingredients.
- Thickening: If the sauce doesn’t thicken enough, let it simmer for an additional minute or two.
